Can I grow my green beans in soil that was used for garlic last year? Can I grow garlic beside my green beans?

Yes, you can grow beans and garlic together or where one or the other was growing. You can grow the beans up just about anything as long as their tendrils can hold on to it. I am sure your trellis will be fine.
