grass

I just acquired an area of grass, 30×20, that I don’t want to have to cut or maintain. Any chance ii can put down ground cover that will grow with the grass (don’t want to have to take up the grass) and kill the grass eventually. . . Thanks. liz

Please take a look at this article as the Monkey Grass may be an option for you. It is tough to find a ground cover that will totally take out the grass, as you need something very aggressive to do that. Keep in mind that the very aggressive ground cover needed to do this can become a problem to any garden areas, yours and the neighbors. They can become a nightmare to control! I will provide a link to some ground cover options too.
