Q.Grape Vine Canes Are Snapping Off Spontaneously

Zone Roseburg 97470 | Anonymous added on May 30, 2021 | Answered

Some of my grape vine canes were becoming droopy. Upon investigation, those canes are snapping off spontaneously from the main cane. A very clean and sharp cut. What might be causing that. My leaves are curling also. Very tiny grapes are starting to show and so far seem fine.

It could be rodents cutting off the vines. Here are best practices to help with the health of the vines. Consider visiting with your area extension agent for specific details and solutions. There are so many pests that could be attacking your vine.
