Grafting Sour Cherry tree with cherry tree

Hello,

I have a concern about sour cherry trees. It is possible to graft them with normal cherry? I have a sour cherry tree that makes normal sour cherries(I do not know the type) and I want to graft into it some types of cheery. I heard that it may not be possible and I want to know exactly.
