What type of seeds does a grafted fruit tree produce? Are the seeds the root stock?

The rootstock is necessary only for what its roots can do, and the scion only for the fruit that its branches and leaves will produce. In other words, the seeds from any fruit produced will come from the scion (or branch) plant.
