Q.Golfball shaped cucumbers

Zone zone ?? South Ga. | Thaniel added on July 19, 2014 | Answered

I have two raised planting plots that are filled with top brand potting soil. I have an automatic watering system to spray once each morning. For the 3 plants in each plot, I lightly spray well water each morning about sunrise. The plants are blooming a lot and have a lot of small cukes, but when they start to fill out, they are shaped like golf balls.

There's more than one possible cause, so you'll have to be a bit of a detective, and an experimenter also. Here's information on the most likely causes: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/vegetables/cucumber/deformed-cucumbers.htm
and some added information on growing cucumbers: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/vegetables/cucumber/cucumbers-in-containers.htm
