Q.Golden Breeze Zebra Grass
Hello, I planted the above grass last fall. I thought it would be sunny enough, but I don’t think it was getting enough sun. The grass grew this year, but is yellow. I just now moved it to a “sunny” location. Do you think it was all yellow from not enough sun. I don’t want to lose it. Thank you in advance for your answer. Elaine

Likely not. They prefer full sun, but can tolerate some shade. You would see signs of stretching, and white areas that lack color at the base.. I see some healthy growth from another, it looks like, so I would look towards stress to the roots. Check for any pests or rot at the base or in the root area. Make sure that the area is well drained and does not remain wet. I see signs of tips drying out, which can indicate root suffocation or disease. Still I think that sunnier location will help it to be more healthy.
You may want to test the condition of your soil, as well. If you do not feel comfortable doing this, then you can take samples to your nearest extension service. They can help.
