Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have an indoor Gold Dust Croton which is TWENTY FOUR years old. Years ago, when I repotted it, it lost most of its leaves so now its branches are VERY long and there are only leaves growing at the tip of each branch. Other than not having leaves growing down its branches, it is a VERY healthy and happy plant. Each branch is now about two feet long!! As such, the branches are bending (though they seem quite flexible) and I wondered if you have any suggestions. Both my son and I would hate to see a branch break off. Imagine, I bought this plant when my son was about eight and now he is in his 30s. Any suggestions will surely be appreciated.
Thank you kindly.

I am going to recommend that you prune your croton (at least the most elongated wayward branches – I see three such branches in your photo – the ones that are bending over) in order to regain the bushier look that you desire. Pruning will encourage new growth lower down on the stem.
