Trying to start canna lilly seeds to germinate. Do I need a grow light?

First, you should understand that any resulting plant may not look like the parent plant. That's just the genetics of hybrids and cultivars. Whether a sunny window is adequate depends on where you live. The closer to the equator, the better the light. If you are in the northern half of the US, supplemental light is recommended.
