Gerbera Daisy’s Leaves Turning Purple

Hello I planted these daisies about two weeks ago. I watered them every day and am starting to think it was to much. From another article I read on this website it sounds like to could be crown rot. Does that seem correct and the next closest plant is about 4 ft away, it’s a red bud tree planted at the same time. Will it get affected?

It looks like damage from cool temperatures, but could be the start of root suffocation or rot.

Be sure that you only water when the soil is dry down to 2 or 3 inches. If it is still moist at all down to that depth, watering should be avoided. This will keep a plant healthier then watering on schedule, as some days the roots can dry faster or slower than others.

Other than that, the damage doesn't look too bad.

As long as you provide the correct amount of sun, and the correct amount of water, the plant will last until cold weather sets back in.
