gerbera daisy

Question

will gerbera daisy plant rot at root if planted in soil which stays moist, I always plant in pots
but would like to try in ground. also are they affected by sticky white pest that kaifer
plants get. I know they get crown rot. Thanks

Garbera daises are susceptible to crown rot if planted where there is constant moisture. I've attached a link that has info on where to plant them as well as their possible pests.
