Gardenia Buds

Question

I have a healthy gardenia plant. The leaves are really green and shiny. The soil is kept moist and the plant gets lots of light. I keep getting buds, but they keep falling off. Why? What am I doing wrong to cause this? I have good potting soil and keep it out of drafts, and I have been fertilizing every month as the instructions say, but I still have this problem.
