Q.Gardening

Zone Rome, Ga 30161 | Laney added on March 21, 2017 | Answered

I planted the purple datura last year. I left the the stems and pods in the ground. I live in Georgia. My question is… Will they come back on their own or should I just replant the seeds? I pulled one up and the roots are enormous, but I didn’t see any place it was trying to put back out.

Thanks

Datura, depending on the variety is hardy in zone 5-7.

Your plant should have wintered over and grow this spring when temperatures are warm enough.
