Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comAll 5 of our Gardenia bushes ( 4-5 ft tall) were hit by frost. All the leaves are brown. We live in NC do we cut these back now? How to get them to restart leaf growth? I’ve researched and can’t find any answers or directions.
Thanks so much
Fran

You can prune the plant down and if the roots were undamaged, the plant should began to grow and leaf out again. You will not see flowers until the following season with a hard prune.
