Outside Gardenia plants. The leaves are turning yellow. Are they getting too much water?

t may be in over wet soil. How often do you water? Is the soil around the shrub relatively moist? If so, you may need to allow it to dry out some, and if possible, improve the drainage around the plant. Yellow leaves normally signal that the plant is under some type of stress.
