gardenia houseplant

Question

i have an indoor gardenia plant that i want to get to flower again. how do i add coffee grounds to the plant? do i let them dry out or can i just mix them in the soil? should i use regular potting mix or can i use an orchid mix with lots of wood pieces in it?
