Q.Gardenia Has Yellow Leaves

Sanders1 added on April 20, 2011 | Answered

We planted a gardenia bush two months ago. Just this week the leaves are starting to turn yellow and the tips of the leaves are brown. The plant is in shade in the afternoon and gets plenty of morning sun. It is starting to bloom this week. I live in Houston.

Yellow leaves normally signal that the plant is under some type of stress. In order to remedy the problem, you must first try to pinpoint the issue. This article should help you with that: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/flowers/gardenia/helping-a-gardenia-bush-with-yellow-leaves.htm
