Q.Gardenia Diseases or Insects

I have had prolific blooming bushes for about eight years; however, last spring they did not have one single flower! Now, the bushes just look thin and ‘sickly. ‘ What should I spray on them or put powder or liquid insecticide in the ground for the roots to absorb?

Give the plant some balanced fertilizer or compost and I would recommend treating it with neem oil for the pests. I like neem oil because it effectively kills most pests that damage plants while not affecting people, animals and beneficial bugs. Here is more info on it:
