Q.Gardenia Care During Winter
my two large container gardenias have exploded over the summer months . I’m not going to get enough sunlight from windows, so I’d like to bring them outside during the day when the temp is above freezing and then bring them inside during the evening . I live in the Boston area;will the temp change be too much of a shock? Maybe I should leave them outside and protect them from the cold? thoughts? Thank You.

Depending on the cultivar that you have, it may not be hardy enough to survive the winter in your area. Winter care outside of their hardiness zones will mean bringing it in.
If you don't have a spot that is bright enough, then a horticultural lamp will help you provide supplemental lighting.
