Gardenia Bush

My bushes got damaged during an ice storm and some of the branches and leaves are brown and dead looking.  Should I cut away the damaged branches or just leaves them and wait until late summer?

Once spring is in full swing, you can prune away any of the brown and dead parts of the plant.
