I have these pesky little black and in my Gardenia tree its a Topiary… I recently had to move it and that’s when the ants got in it …. it did have aphids and mealy bugs but i got them off ..I had to recently put some of that Diatomaceous Earth in the dirt and on the plant ..and I also had to spray a insecticide on it to kill most of the ants .. All of my bloom have fallen off 🙁 it was full early this summer and still has maybe 1 or 2 blooms left.. I had to deadhead the old ones and in the bottom of the flowers had lots of ants, i guess because it has the sweet stuff in the flowers… Now my question is , are the ants cutting the blooms or is it because of the move,,? I will have to move it 1 more time and that’s when i move.. Should i just prune it back and forget about this season or what ?
Thank you
Nikki
