Q.Garden Pots

Anonymous added on May 22, 2012 | Answered

I have a terra cotta pot designed with big holes on the side. Would I be able to plant flowers in the holes? Of course, that would mean they would grow out sideways. Is there a flower out there that would work, or would the flowers die?

This is called a strawberry pot. Here is more info on growing plants in these pots: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/special/containers/gardening-with-strawberry-jars.htm

You can plant flowers there. Many people like to use violas like that or alyssum. Strawberries are another popular choice.
