garden layout

We have 20 acres and have tilled up an area about 100′ x 150′ for a large vegetable garden. I find plenty of ideas for small garden layouts but not for planning a large one. Thank you.

While there are plans for vegetable garden layouts, for the most part, they are more for aesthetics than anything else. The best vegetable garden layout is one that works best for you. Think about how you garden and decide on beds vs rows, what you want to plant, how much you want to plant, and the growing habits of what you want to grow. Since this is a new bed, you do not need to worry about what was planted before, but in future years when planning your garden, you will also have to consider what was planted in what spots in prior years to help prevent disease.

Most people use a piece of graph paper and plot out on that how their garden will layout based on their own specific needs. You may also what to start a garden journal so that you can keep track of what is planted where so that crop rotation will be easier in the future.
