You are in luck! That cultivar is a cold hardy perennial, where most of them are not. This will survive in your area, and just about any place in the U.S. It is best to wait until spring to remove any dead or dying growth. This will give it some added protection over the winter anyways. This article will give you information on the care of Gaillardia both annual, and perennial varieties:https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/flowers/blanket-flower/growing-blanket-flowers.htm [1]
