Q.Fungus Gnats

I am a first time gardener. I purchase some ogranic garden soil and put in my outdoor garden. I added a vegetable fertilizer. I follow directions on fertilizer to water soil. The next day I had all these little gnats flying around. I contacted the vendor and they told me they refer to them as fungus gnats and to give it a few days and they will go away. It has been 3 days and they’re still flying around. How can I get rid of these things.

They are hard to get rid of but they like moist soil, so let your soil dry out and that will help. Here is more:
