Fungi On Tree

I moved into this house 2 years ago with beautiful tree approximately 15 feet tall, usually flowers nice pink flowers around June. However, this year only about one tenth of the tree has flowered to the left hand side. Rest of the tree is movable and ready to break off. I have now noticed mushrooms-fungi on it. Do not know the name of this tree either. Can I save it or should I chop it down? HELP PLEASE.

Sounds like some type of infection has affected your tree, but what kind and to what extent it is hard to say. We would recommend that you bring in an arborist or other tree specialist to look at your tree and give advice.
