Q.Fungal Infection – Treatment

Anonymous added on July 21, 2012 | Answered

I have had to cut off a lot of my Hydrangeas due to leaf spot and the blooms that started out so beautiful turned out almost burnt looking. How do you treat for fungal spot, and did the fungus cause the blooms to turn brown or was that just caused from the sun?

This was likely caused by sun scorch, but it will not hurt to treat the shrub with neem oil, which is an effective fungicide, just to be safe.
