Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have a fuchsia (prince of orange) in a part sun spot, and I’m looking for some ideas for perennials to plant on either side of it. In research, I keep coming across ferns and hostas, but this spot has more sun than those two typically prefer, and I’d like something with flowers. I’d appreciate any ideas you may have. Thanks!

In this case, you may want to think about planting something that will shade your plant! Fuchsia will enjoy quite a bit of shade, so planting a small shrub, nearby, may be a good option. They seem to enjoy small conifers, so you may consider one for a shading companion. Really, as long as you choose something suitable for your zone, the Fuchsia will not be too picky.
