Q.Fruit tree sap

Zone 3802 | Anonymous added on June 26, 2017 | Answered

Hi, I’m living in Melbourne and have a few fruit trees in my backyard. Among them I have a peach and apricot trees. They are relatively young trees, about 3 years old. Last summer there was a very reasonable crop from both trees. But I noticed that both now have a lot of sap discharge. I’ve tried to locate a cancer causing this problem but can’t see any. Recently I had to cut one small branch and it was at the sap spot but the branch itself was very healthy. It looked like the sap was just on the surface rather then from inside.
Also the peaches had a lot of sap attached to the fruit but inside were very healthy.

What should I do to help these two beautiful trees?

If there are any other pictures I should send please let me know.

We would really really appreciate your help…our trees are suffering!

Kind regards,
Boz
