Q.Fruit that looks like a plum but innards have the look and taste of an apricot

Zone Southwest Washington State, Zone 8a | kronomlo13 added on August 11, 2018 | Answered

I found a fruit tree today on some family property that has the smooth, shiny skin of a plum, but the color, taste, and texture of an apricot. They’re about an inch in diameter, very sweet and tasty. I thought I heard a relative say a long time ago that they were a special type of plum, and the two trees I found have been there for a long time.

Appreciate your help.
