Frost Bitten Azaleas in Phoenix

When should I cut off the dead stems from frost on my azalea bush? Right now some flowers are in bloom that weren’t affected by the cold, but other stems are laying over dead.

I would wait until spring. While the damage looks unsightly, pruning now can cause the plant to try to grow, which just exposes it to further damage from cold weather.
