Q.Frost Damage on Apricot Tree

Anonymous added on April 22, 2011 | Answered

Our apricot tree took a frost hit this spring after it started blooming. About 2/3 of the tree has die back. When we cut into the dead-looking branches, we notice a fermented wine smell about them. Also, some of the good looking branches are now showing signs of wilt at the tips. What should we do? Cut off all the dead branches?
