Front Flower Bed

Question

I have two beds (14′ long x 3′ deep) in front of house (each side of stairs). Would like to plant dwarf gardenias – maybe two in each bed, but what else would look nice with those? I’d like some other color.

Perhaps some dwarf hydrangeas or even perennial flowers.
