Q.Fringe Tree Bare Branches

I have a fringe tree that was transplanted into my full sun front yard about 8 months ago (Jan 2021). The tree had nice leaves on all branches, and flowered once, but my area in Houston went through an arctic freeze about a month after the tree was planted. Since then, some of the branches lost all leaves while some kept the nice leaves that were present after transplanting. Should I prune the bare branches?

You can prune dead or damaged stems at any time during the year. Here is more about what to do for cold damage:
