Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI was given a young Sago Palm as a gift. 4 branches, actually there were 5, but one got yellow and died. I live in Manhattan in a high rise building. I keep the plant in a south facing window, pretty good sunlight, but losing branches due to yellowing. I’ve never seen a website that discussed how frequently and how much to water. I’ve been adding maybe a half cup of water to what seems to be a 2-3 cup pot. Any thoughts?

Water the plant until water comes out through the bottom (allow water coming out from the bottom to run out). The exact amount will vary depending on the size of the plant and its conditions. Allow the soil to dry before watering again. If the plant is yellowing, you are most likely over watering.
