French Dwarf Bean Problem

I was just wondering if you could tell me why my French dwarf bean plant has started to go woody in the middle of the stalk? It’s not rotted too much more, just started to deteriorate. It’s not all of my stalks, just two out of six. How can I fix this? Thank you 🙂

I would check for borers, which can burrow into the stalks and cause them to become woody. The corn borer is a common pest of bean plants. This article will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/vegetables/corn/controlling-corn-borer-pests.htm [1]
