Fouquieria Macdougalii Advice Appreciated

Hi, Your website is very helpful, thanks for the information. I would appreciate it if you could help me with the below. I am based in Phoenix and I I have a cube container 2 feet x 2 feet and I am thinking of buying and planting a Fouquieria Macdougalii or a Vitex Agnus ‘Blue Puffball'(variety growing to 3-4feet). Which do you believe will be better choice for long term? I am looking for something that can be grown in container indefinitely, like erythrina flabelliformis. Mexican ocotillo amazes but not sure if its ultimate size(20ft) will allow it be in container forever, or it will outgrow the container and decline. Thank you very much

The Mexican ocotillo will grow too large for that container as you say. The Puff Ball could be a good choice. If it becomes root bound, you can remove it from the container, prune the roots, and repot it with fresh soil.
