Forsythia Shrub

I have many forsythia shrubs. They are very old. They bloom lovely year after year. I just noticed that all of a sudden I have no leaves. They are curled and the tree looks dead, as though someone had sprayed it. The ones next to it are fine. What is wrong?

Since few problems occur with forsythias, it could be that you need to prune them. This would be especially true for older shrubs. Here is an article that you may find helpful: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/shrubs/forsythia/forsythia-pruning.htm [1]

If after pruning, you are still exhibiting problems or notice any pests that may be lurking deep within the foliage or branches, further steps may need to be taken.
