flowers changing colour

I have planted a variety of plants in clay soil which have changed colour from the expected/original red to pink i.e Lupin Red Castle, Achillia red, and a miniture rose which was red in one bed and has now turned pink when I moved it. Also a dahlia that was purple has now gone a blush pinky colour.

However the cosmos I planted have come out as they should and are in the same bed.

Any ideas what could be happening here?

There are many reasons this can occur. Mostly environmental, though. Here is an article that will help you pinpoint the exact cause: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/environmental/fixing-color-faded-flowers.htm [1]
