Flowering Dogwood Tree

Question

My white flowering dogwood tree gets fewer and fewer flowers each year. Last year I only had 3 flowers and this year only 1! What can I do to get more flowers?

There could be numerous reasons...
I do know we have had many similar questions just this spring. We are seeing many environmental issues with the below normal winter that much of the entire United States suffered this past winter.
