Flax Plant Leaves Are Bent On Stalk From Snow Cover. Should I Remove Them?

The plant has been in place fore 7 years. We had a heavy snow and cold here in the NW for 2 weeks this year. Very hard on the flax. Leaves are bent and most lying on the ground. What can I do?
