Q.Finding the right type of flower plants
I take care of gardens at a Boat club. So I have conditions of Full sun 8+ hours, windy conditions, helping to dry gardens out quickly, cant be there to water every night. Would like help finding hardy flowering plants both perennial & annuals to plant. Growth height between ground cover to no more than 12inches. Colorful, blooms spring to fall frost in Zone 6 (Buffalo NY). I’m not having the best of luck making the gardens look good. They do when I first plant, but conditions make it hard to keep up.
I first suggest visiting our local garden centers and greenhouses. They often have test gardens for you to look at and make plant decisions.
