Figs Not Ripening on Fig Tree

I live in Texas and purchased a brown turkey fig tree last Feburary. The tree has grown some and it currently stands 5 ft. Since I planted it, figs have grown. In April, they grew but eventually they all fell off. Then I noticed more figs growing in June. To this day, they are still there, green and approx.the same size as in the beginning of August. Is this normal for young figs or is there something I am not doing?

The tree may be stressed and if it is stressed, it will stop ripening its fruit. Try increasing water to the tree and that should help bring it out of its stressed state. This article should also help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/figs/figs-not-getting-ripe.htm [1]
