figs

Do fig trees put on fruit “before” the leaves? If so do they ripen before the leaves?

Usually, they will leaf out first. Sometimes, unripened fruit will remain on the tree until next season, but these will not be worth consuming. It would be best to pluck these off to let the new fruit start to form.
