Q.Fig trees leaves yellow and falling

Zone 6-7 coast nj | chrislindmark added on July 5, 2012 | Answered

Help. I have 3 small (2 feet) fig trees. I have them in pots and this is second for 2 and third summer for 1. The dirt seems dry and I have been watering almost daily for last 3 days. They are next to a building in late day sun. Last year they had more shade. Should I move them? Where? Water more? I am going to renew soil today and add fertilizer 8-8-8, is that OK? PS, the trees had fruit last year.

This article should help determine what is causing the leaf yellowing in your fig: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/figs/fig-with-yellow-leaves.htm
