Q.Fig trees dying

Zone 7 | Michelle19 added on April 9, 2014 | Answered

I live in Ashland Oregon- zone 7. I have small fig orchard. I planted some new trees last season. Those trees are now black and dead. Could it be blight? The rest have just stared budding. What should I do?

There are many diseases that affect figs. This article gives you an overview: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/figs/common-fig-tree-diseases.htm
You should take samples of your blackened plants, as well as soil around them, to the nearest Extension Service for analysis: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/extension-search/
this link will help you locate one.
