fig trees

I bought a fig tree that is just one straight branch that has figs on in they are coming out where the leaves are is this normal or do I need to take them off

Because it is a new plant, with very little to it, I would remove the figs so that the plant’s energy can be redirected in to root and branch development. This article may help
