Q.Fig tree pruning

I would like to know if pruning a fig tree will help in the maturing of the figs on the tree?

Fig trees stop ripening their fruit when they are stressed. It may have become stressed due to the unusual heat we have been experiencing over this past summer. Increase the water to the tree and this should help. As for pruning, any pruning that needs to be done should take place while the tree is in dormancy.
