Fig tree not producing figs

I purchased a fig tree 2 years ago at a farmer’s market, and the seller told me the tree was already 2 years old and would bear fruit the season I planted it. So the tree is now somewhere between 2-4 years old and is growing beautifully, but bearing no fruit. I don’t know what type of fig tree it is (photos attached) — could I have a tree that requires fertilization from another tree?

We did not receive the image.
Depending on the variety it can be up to 6 year for your tree to reach maturity.
You only need one Fig Tree.
