Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI planted a fig tree around 6 months ago. It flourished and was going so well. However, of late the leaves went black and started to curl, but now they are going yellow. I was watering the tree every morning and sometimes evening, as it has been very warm with a lack of rain in our area. I also gave it some Seasol, but I am not sure if it is helping. Strangely enough I also have a Paw Paw tree that has leaves turning yellow, but I think this is because it is growing. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

The black leaves may be an indication of sooty mold developing, which is normally due to insect pests. I would treat the tree with neem oil, which will take care of both the pest and fungal issue.
